OUR BEANS
We proudly use fresh single-origin beans locally sourced from Ceremony Coffee Roasters in Annapolis. They have an unrelenting passion for producing the best beans from the farm through the entire roasting process. Come try a fresh cup or bring home a bag of beans to enjoy daily!
PHILOSOPHY
We are a small, family-owned business that has a passion for a great cup of coffee. Each cup of coffee is brewed to order using a pour over technique. Pour over coffee is the perfect combination of coffee and the chemistry that goes into each cup. It allows you to enjoy the full experience of quality coffee.
POUR OVER COFFEE
COFFEE CRAFT
There countless ways to prepare coffee. While the Caiffestry team are fans of many, we have settled on the traditional Japanese Bee House and Chemex drippers as our pour over method of choice. Our baristas are trained on the proper timing and pouring techniques combined with stringent attention to detail to get the most out of this method. After properly preparing the bed of coffee we make sure each cup has a chance to bloom, literally and figuratively, as part of the brewing process. After patiently waiting for the proper extraction time, your cup of hand crafted coffee is ready for you!

Apricot and dark berry aromatics. Tropical fruit and coconut custard in a juicy cup with a vibrant finish.
COFFEE SCIENCE
Maybe it’s because we are engineers, but the Caiffestry team loves to geek out over the science of making a phenomenal cup of coffee. We have spent countless hours in the “lab” evaluating how each variable interacts to make Ceremony’s seasonal offerings truly outstanding. We control the water quality and roast date while testing variables such as grind, brew ratio, water temperature and pouring technique for each single origin coffee we offer. Each test output is evaluated based on the Specialty Coffee Association of America tasting guidelines. The results are evaluated to determine the ideal recipe that, when combined with the craft of preparing a great cup, results in an amazing experience.
